On January 24th, the founders of Cearitis, Marion CANALE and Solena CANALE PAROLA, were honored to receive the prestigious Start-up of the Year award presented by “La Provence.” Their success was further highlighted in the presence of influential personalities such as Mr. Jean-Luc CHAUVIN, President of the Aix Marseille Provence Chamber of Commerce, and Mr. Benoît PAYAN, Mayor of Marseille.
The Start-up of the Year
The editorial decision of “La Provence” to showcase women entrepreneurs who contribute to the development of the region was celebrated by over 420 guests, including metropolitan economic actors, gathered at the Palais de la Bourse to celebrate the journey of these women leaders.
This award symbolizes a rich year of major events for our company in 2023:
- In August, our moving to new office marked an important milestone in our expansion. To support our growth, we invested in additional space within the Technopole de l’Arbois in Aix-en-Provence, now offering 120m² dedicated to the laboratory and 120m² dedicated to offices.
- On September 28th, the inauguration of our orchard, adjacent to our office, was a significant moment, with nearly 2000m² dedicated to tree crops. This orchard perfectly illustrates our sustainable and natural solutions.
- Our team has grown from 7 to 13 people, mainly in the fields of entomology, sales, and communication.
But the beginning of this year is equally promising!
January marked the start of our mango crop protection program in Ivory Coast. We welcomed our International Volunteer in Business (VIE), who plays a crucial role in strengthening our initiatives in this country. Working closely with local stakeholders and Alexandre Fievet, our Business Developer, Olivia Atche will contribute to optimizing our crop preservation projects, sharing knowledge and best practices, while promoting Cearitis’ commercial development in Ivory Coast. Moreover, multinational producers in the Maghreb have shown keen interest in our innovation. Our internationalization goal this year also continues in Latin America, with ongoing initiatives in Brazil and other Spanish-speaking countries on the continent. Stay tuned!
